Lyrics:
V1
I was in a trance, though thought not alive,
I climbed out of the grave in which hip-hop died;
Dragged the corpse six feet up and it was no suprise,
The music was barely breathing and with bloodshot eyes,
So I, (I) gave him some water in the form my flow.
Till you could hear the beat from his heart, and so
The dark clouds brought the cold night rain along with the pain of memory lane,
Look, All I remember is him sayin'
He was doing just fine. til some haters took his shine,
he took a step in rewind and let him die with all their rhymes
Making money of their crime
And it was just seen as fine, but now it's 2009 and it's about that time,
We stick together, and show them who we are
We resurect hip-hop cause those who didn't kill it were
Too busy making money of his death and so
kinda ironic no one attended his funeral
Hook
Look,
It doesn't take much talent to say ima im de boss
Cause That was my lil cousin who said ima ima boss
But If you hate and discriminate then we gon take a loss
So as long as you getting shine keep saying im da boss
So if you don't like what's new then keep it to yourself,
Cause what ever makes money is what keeps us on the shelf,
So for hip hop sake let's not seperate
Cause united is the way we stand to all the hate
V2
Look, Judge me without a gavel, but Why is you starting on me?
No one's forcing you to listen to the s e b
But Lets shift focus and notice how these rappers' rhymes are bogus
Cause the beat does all the hocus pocus, leaving us all hopeless
But where others fail, some become better than ever,
putting a point behind their rhymes like capital letters
But you run on and sentence those who are just like you,
And become the hypocrite everyone, thought they knew
Spend more time persucitin' those who never gave
Forgetting those who would supported you until their grave
The music symbolising freedom turnned you into a slave
Money drugs and bitches trapped creavity into a cage
But at least you making ends, so at least I can't pretend,
that the least you do with the pen, is something i Won't defend
As time goes, rules bend as we adjust to trends, so keep saying that,
That boom b-boom blrap boom blrap
Hook
Cause,
It doesn't take much talent to say ima im de boss
Cause That was my lil cousin who said ima ima boss
But If you hate and discriminate then we gon take a loss
So as long as you getting shine keep saying im da boss

Took poetry off my page so I could add instrumentals
Had the rhythm and rhyme through the words, i had kept it simple
But then to my expression I brought another dimension
And placed a beat in the right direction, gave it reserection
Put it out to celebrate and i realised
I put out what the old generation dispised
Intertwined poetry and music to create
Two Fused old artforms grown folks now love to hate,
But im sorry, Nothing out there can match the hype
of puttin' pen to paper and puttin rhymes to the mic
So while they going out at night Im Goin in on the mic
Creating classics while you party away your life
And now my rhymes are timeless and time is priceless
so I do it as for free as setting a price is sightless
Fight this and you will see the life a righteous me,
who defends his rights until his life is lifeless B
