Removing Rx1 destroys the tone of my October Studio when in parallel mode.

  • I had the same sound problem with my problem with my Renegade, but when I changed the power amp tubes and set the bias the problem stoped

  • I ultimately rewired much of my amp, removed the Rx1 and Rx2 resistors and never had a recurrence of the problem. The tubes I used were good (still using 'em) and also the bias was set correctly. As I mentioned before, I think I had a bad solder joint, but I'm not 100% sure of the cause.

  • Any idea what causes that zapping sound? I just built my first guitar pedal (BYOC Octavia), and when I plugged it in it worked, but you can hear this faint zapping sound in the background.

  • Bad solder joints. I also removed the Rx1 and Rx2 resistors which are superfluous it seems.

  • HAHAHAH the car honking noise at the end made this video FC worthy. Good work David!
