I think this version is interesting, and I think that's the whole point of Animal Collective. They want their music to be surprising and refreshing, especially when so much music today sounds exactly the same.

I actually like this version of the song better than the studio version. Anyone know where I can find a better quality version of it done this way?

to those of you criticizing this performance, look at what year this is. 2005. that's two years before strawberry jam came out. so obviously this is a very early version of the song which is why it doesn't sound like the studio version. just because its different doesn't make it bad.
