@ramc64 yes, jesus was male, there is no denying that fact, however god and jesus may be the same, but they are also seperate. hence the godhead 3 in 1. god and jesus are two very different things, yet at the same time, the exact same thing.

@bogati143 history can prove God was not man made. can you explain people being able to predict the future. although they are sometimes vague there are HISTORICAL evidences to prove they were successfully predicting the future. if you were raised without god then i'm sorry. At least go to one, just one christian church service. and if you still think you're right, then i may have to re examine my beliefs. who knows, it may change your life. or even talk to a pastor or someone about your beliefs.

@angellicvoices I hate to say it, but you are wrong. We, mankind did not create God, but rather the other way around. God created you and me and everyone else from Moses to hitler. And regardless as to what you may think God loves you and me and everyone else. We are God's CHILDREN. Why would we belittle ourselves if man made up God? Anyways God bless. I've made my argument and that's all I can do.

@angellicvoices I hate to say it bud, but you are wrong. Man food not create or imagine god , but quite the opposite. God created us and nothing you say or do will change that. Just like nothing you say or do will change the fact that he loves you and everyone else sinner saved or otherwise. we are all God's children.

@wordwindtheme Actually he does, because Jesus IS the Word made Flesh, God with skin on. The ascended Word/Jesus is still God in human flesh.

@bobjfs The word "image" is the root of imagination. Perhaps the meaning is the multifaceted mind of God made humankind in "our" imagination, as in the mind of God? Hmm.
Oh, and Jesus isn't the first "son of God" or daughter for that matter, to die and rise from the dead. That's been going on in scripture since the story of Attis. That precedes the Bible by about 2000 years. Whoops! More than one death and resurrection? Yup! It's a fact of histor and NOT interpretative. It happened.

The Gnostic gospels, excluded by the Council of Nicea under the "guidance" of Constantine about the same time he was having the library at Alexandria destroyed so there were no competing ideas left in the world, often referred to the Holy Spirit as feminine.
The male thing was a political decision by an emperor trying to set up a theocratic empire. Funny how that's now considered the word of God and not Emperor Constantine.
