This segment is called "TYFA (Trans Youth, Family, Allies): Understanding Through Education".
For transgendered children, the process of reaching adulthood is riven with bullying and misunderstanding;
Transgendered people, and in particular transgender children, are one of the most isolated and misunderstood groups in our society. Yet the means to address their plight is in the hands of everyone, especially parents and families, and those in charge of health and education.
TYFA (TransYouth, Family, Allies) empowers children and families by partnering with educators, service providers and communities, to develop supportive environments in which gender may be expressed and respected. They strive to create a society free of suicide and violence, in which ALL children are celebrated, loved, and respected.
