This was my granfathers when he was a kid back in 1913-1920's era,if anyone knows anything about this please post a comment as i don't know much about it,thanks.

  • worth considerably more the 200. mmore like 200 each and the engine more close to 300 plus. its great. keep it.

  • @ptchapmanusmcret Ya i know,i was being sarcastic to his comment,lol.....i was told between 200-300 on the cars and 500 on the engine is what the pricing is in the price guide.Its not going anywhere,trust me : )

  • im not an expert on preway trains, it probily from 1919 to 1920 something. it is prewar and if in working condition you could get about 150 to 200 dollars

  • THAT SET IS ONE OF LIONELS TOP OF THE LINE SETS MADE IN THE EARLY PREWAR TIMES RIGHT ALONG WITH THE STD GAUGE BLUE COMMET SET THAT CAME OUT A FEW YEARS LATER I HAVE A LOT OF DVD VIDEOS MADE BY TM THATS MOSTLY ABOUT PREWAR & POSTWAR TRAIN SETS AND THIS IS ONE OF THE SETS THAT THAY TALK ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO PREWAR LIONEL TRAINS AND THE SAY THIS ENGINE RAN UNDER THE HUDSON RIVER BECAUSE THAY BANDED STEAM ENGINE TO RUN UNDER THE HUDSON RIVER STILL TO THIS DAY STILL NO STEAM CAN RUN THERE
