He is proly trying to either grow natural dreads, or yeah he just doesnt like to wash his hair for w.e reason. I think as far as the indie scene there music is one of the most pure and original sounding. its cool cuz u hear a lot of older sounds mixed in with new, i guess thats what makes them stand out more.
