@kbirdus i take it you're not a big fan of alfred lutter. as for non-weirdness being a criterion for a 70s weekly sitcom character, i'm not so sure - - doesn't reverend jim on "taxi" suggest otherwise?

@wallofvideo CBS wanted someone younger, and a little less weird. Weird's OK for a Martin Scorcese movie, not for a weekly CBS sitcom.
