Grass/Maize silage harvest NZ 2008/09

Welcome to all new subscribers, this footage was taken while I was driving a truck in late 2008/early 2009 harvesting grass and maize and is my first attempt at using windows moviemaker. No point in trying to name all the suspects involved, they know who they are, and if they want to confess to their involvement, they should feel free to comment. To be honest, I havn't enjoyed a job as much as I enjoyed this one in a long time. Music is 'Psycho" by Puddle of Mudd

Nothing new for these contractors getting stuck

@masseyfendt37 well if farmers didn't plant crops on this sort of land, getting stuck wouldnt be a problem. Having said that, I completely understand the sense in farmers putting a crop in a paddock they don't wanna get cows out of.

3 stuck in one field lol!! Does the forager have a thing to make it shoot the maize in the right direction when it goes round a corner or does the driver have to do that too?

@altractors we were in constant contact with the chopper drivers by radio, when we were in a tight spot they would just tell us to stop and direct their chute manually while circling the truck. We would normally chop the ends of a paddock first, so that we didnt have to worry about staying lined up while turning

Funny...I used to work for Ellis and Darcey in 1995..they grown a lot since than.
