Did I miss the remedy for hair thinning & conversion to DHT? You mentioned it then it appeared that you went straight to prostate health.

@remoteviewer7 Medications that are used for prostate health (to treat BPH) are the same medications used to prevent hair thinning/loss, as the same biological mechanism is at play. DHT is the cause of nutrients not getting to the hair follicles (also the cause of male secondary characteristics) and propecia, avodart, and saw palmetto are all drugs/supplements that are used to treat BPH by binding with the 5 alpha reductase enzyme.

@remoteviewer7 Testosterone binds with this enzyme and creates DHT. By taking anyone of these drugs/supplements (saw palmetto is a natural supplement) less DHT is made since the drugs interact with 5 alpha reducatse making the enzyme less available to interact with the free testosterone we inject and convert it to DHT. It's a balance, since DHT gives us the secondary characteristics we want (facial hair, body hair, thickening of the vocal chords, etc) but also causes hair loss.

@remoteviewer7 I haven't experienced any hair changes yet, and as I am still early in my transition, I want the secondary characteristics to continue. When I start to see a shift in hair loss or thinning I will start using these products to combat the hair loss. The drugs don't stop all DHT production, but it would most likely slow down your transition effects if new on T.

@remoteviewer7 Since most of our changes are complete or nearly so after 2 yrs, I am more worried about hair loss after prolonged use of Testosterone vs my first year or two. There are also some shampoos made with saw palmetto that may be a little better at targeting just the DHT build up near the scalp vs ingesting the drugs and having it effect all DHT production. Check out trans guy. com for his experience using the shampoo.
