  • Unfortunately, the JCR added the title to the article which put the wrong spin on it. I personally know the author and how he writes and what is super funny about all this is that he uses briefs all the time, is always sharing them, looking for new ideas. He is anything but ignorant.

The true point of the article is being missed and misinterpreted. The whole point is that in regards to briefs, you should do what works for you.

  • @ryan9d I recently learned that the author uses lots of briefs -- not mentioned at all in the article. He had great success overcoming Phoenix Th. by using tons of briefs, then in the article he didn't mention a peep about that fact, and and writes "do what works for you," without giving briefs a proper hearing. And if his point was "do what works for you," my response is, learning briefs well works for everyone, IF TRIED. That being said, I agree with what you said as far as it goes.

  • I don't think he took it personally at all. The author of that article is obviously ignorant about the advantages of briefing and in turn is now misinforming JCR readers. Mark is just trying to correct that. I am personally very disappointed that the JCR published that article. And the biggest irony is that they called it Myth Busters! Ha! What a joke.

  • @rosalypiderit88 The only reason I made the video response is because the JCR has a huge readership and influence (which is a good thing). I counsel students nearly every day via e-mail and telephone who have been devastated by being taught to write everything out and put all endings in separate strokes. The devastation this has caused is incredible, and the dollars racked up in student loans as those students hit 3, 4, 5, 6 years in school is very sad. So I'm trying to turn this around. Mark

  • If you listened to the video, you heard me bend over backwards to not attack anyone personally, but only the ideas. If a person can write an article expressing an opinion, another person can make a video responding to their opinions. This is how debates work. People that can't handle that, call it a "personal attack." There was no personal attack at all. I specifically never mentioned the author's name, and I stated he is probably a super guy.

  • I use your briefs, Mark. And it sites help me with my speed. I am one for those 3-4 year student. I need what you have to offer. Thank you, Mark.

  • It is sad to me that you took this article as a personal attack and have, in turn, posted this personal attack on the author. I have only been able to get through the first part of your rant, but can say that about the only thing that has merit is the fact that you don't know the author personally. If you did, you would realize how ridiculous this is.
