Installing Sharepoint Server 2010 is easy for a single server installation. For a 2-tier installation things do get a little tricky. But all of the installation can be accomplished in about 30 minutes if you have the major pre-requisites installed.

  • Hi, I installed SQL 2008 and Sharepoint 2010, I try to follow your steps but in the Specify Configuration Database Settings I have some error: Cannot connect to database master at SQL server at (database server name). The database might not exists, or the current user does not have permission to connect it. I used an administrator user. Can you help me find the solution.

  • HI, have some trouble with this process. I've installed Sever/SQL/Sharepoint Sever, ect. Sharepoint installed as a farm, creating a team site, i can not view it from another pc which is not in the same Domain. Pasting the URL to the IE, the pc tries to connect but no popup or connect. I'm missing something here, how do i get a pc on the same network but not the same workgroup to see the web team page. From Server, i can open a IE web page and paste the URL and it opens ok. HELP!
