Sounds like klinok19 should should write a book. He has it all figured out! This knife has a great design made with quality materials. And would make an excellent addition to a ready pak. Thanks James

@BrazenMudrain. You are doing a bad service, and potentially a harm, by pushing an unsuitable product, you got that? This is not an academic discussion, for which you are unprepared obviously. You are also a liar, a fraud. The guy who ever was on the ground, actually, would know that this long knife is an obstruction to the movement of every sort.
-
@BrazenMudrain. I am not discussing this with you, I am saying you and your buddy here is wrong, plain and simple. And your "affiliation" with military means nothing, if you can't understand simple things about gear. Every ounce is counted, and there is no place for a an unnecessary and unproductive things on the solder's body. You just a "used car salesman", that it. You want to sell your product no matter what. But, the facts on the ground are, real solders in combat zone don't buy you

@klinok19 make a clear cut distinction here, my aim in discussions like these are to ensure an understanding on both sides. If you make a good point then you do, if I do then I do. I do have a better understanding of modern tactics and weaponry than others by way of my military affiliation then your regular shmuckately, and I do not aim to shoot others down.
-
@klinok19 Hey, I do have some experience with modern weaponry, I am in the military as well. It's true the chances of a modern encounter of close quarters combat are practically zero but the chance is there. I've had my M16 jam up and have to perform several emergenct actions to clear it during a slow fire, i've never fired a pistol before but the margin of error is much wider with a pistol and it does take training with them consistantly if they are to be effective. I'm not trying to

@klinok19 At any distance at all, I agree. I would rather have a gun. But if the soldier is attempting to kill silently, quickly, and up close, the knife is probably a better weapon than the gun. Hell, even if he doesn't need to be silent, but he's just up close the knife is probably better than a gun. You could say that there is no way that any trained soldier would ever let a person get that close to them while they had their gun, but it does happen. It just depends on the environment.
-
Also, I'm reasonably sure that standard issue knives are larger than 5 1/2 inches. I know for a fact that my k-bar is 7 1/2.
-
The knife also never runs out of ammunition, is almost completely silent, is much easier to bring to bear in close quarters than any gun, and can cause damage within far greater ranges of motion than a gun. The gun has to have a direct line towards the target, and that's completely fine at a distance. But when your opponent is directly in your face, your arm is blocked up, and you can't bring any of your guns to bear, the knife will more than likely come out on top.
-
@BrazenMudrain. The main advantage of the modern combat firearms to compare to your favorite old ones, is their light weight, short size, and density of fire. And that makes a hell of a difference on the battlefield. For the same reason a knife, in the good hands, is a much more versatile in fighting, more quickly deployed, compact, and easily carried weapon, to compare to a sword, or 13" half-sword.
-
How about this: a modern solder, armed with an automatic rifle, a pistol, and an backup pistol, will never have to resort to close quarter knife combat. Chances of this happening are practically zero. But, the knife fighting is a great art, that is worth learning, as it will keep a man fit, agile, quick, well coordinated, combat aware, etc.
Nice blade, nice technique, stupid commenters

@klinok19 We encourage you to research facts prior to posting online commentary that is inaccurate. If you researched James Williams background you would find that he has trained Close Quarter Combat to both foreign and domestic police and military. For further accurate information visit Dojo of the Four Winds Instructor information. Thanks, CRKT.
