WE need to drill for oil in the US here and now. Get rid of the Middle east. WE have enough oil here in our country to become oil independent in 5 years or less. We have enough oil here to power our economy for another 50 years or more. Its ridiculous to say we cannot drill and ridiculous to say we cannot become independent. Reagan wanted to drill for oil in Alaska and where ever but the communist democrats would not allow it.

If only they had used their oil revenues to create a non-oil revenue based-dependent economic infra-technostructures oriented economy then they can easily, shift from oil exports to manufactures exports just like Japan and Korea and Germany and France. Oil is too noble just to burn in a single use only, it must be used as a raw material for manufacturing all kinds of non-fuel oil-based products. Petrochemicals, paints, plastics, resins, hydraulic fluids, lubricants, waxes, petroleum jelly, etc.
