honestly, you should take this down. it makes you look like idiots. also, this kind of talking down on women is a product of your ill concealed misogyny. perhaps it hasn't occurred to you, but by perpetuating this belief you may also contribute to convincing women they aren't funny, thus continuing the cycle.

Seriously though, are people really that stupid? Of course 'some' women aren't funny in exactly the same way that 'some' men aren't.

I do think it's fair to say that more men 'try' to be funny and the reason for that (in some cases as least) is because women find that attractive in a man. So one theory would be that you need to change the 'Rules of Attraction' first.

its not that women arent funny, its that most women are attractive and attractive people arent funny. They can lean on their looks so they dont need humor or a personality for the most part and that includes men. You have too admit some fat women are pretty funny. I mean people who arent attractive really have no choice but too have a good funny personality just too get by socially.

@lastmondaypast1 very belated reply to this but there could be some truth in your comment, I was listening to a radio show the other day where they were interviewing a male comedian, and he did make the point that there are very few good looking male comedians so I think that rule applies to men and women. If you are attractive, you don't 'have' to be funny.

I guess I must be the exception to that rule though... (joking)

@21stCenturyCat people can be attracted to all kinds of things. due to this idea that women aren't funny and that if they are, they're unattractive, girls will literally stop being funny altogether. i've felt pressure like that, but the people i actually want to have be attracted to me still find me attractive even though they can laugh at a face i make or what have you. maybe someday you'll understand

Women tend to get funnier as they get older, but it is almost impossible for a woman to be funny unless she utilises male mannerisms and attitudes. That's why almost all successful young female comedians are either lesbians, macho, or jewish- so they have the ability to identify with a male audience by 'becoming them' in a sense. Male comedians don't have to do the same with women.
