http://ianjuby.org http://wazooloo.com In this rant, Ian shows how natural selection *cannot* be the guiding force behind evolution, as claimed by many. Natural selection is not as effective as hoped, and even if it was, it actually inverts the evolutionary tree with "primitive" lifeforms winning the game of evolution, hands down.
Ravens have small brains, but are considered smarter than apes in some studies. They talk, use tools, and even use an analysis approach as apposed to a trial and error approach. Though these are all more beneficial traits, the crow is behind humans, though they have been around longer and had more opportunity than humans according to evolution.
"Survival of the fittest" doesn't mean what you apparently think it means. Fitness, in evolutionary biology, refers to an individual's reproductive success. It's all about surviving so that you can reproduce, and being able to raise your offspring to adulthood so that they can reproduce.
Natural selection is relevant to the situation at hand. It is not goal orientated. It is the tag we have put on the things that allow some to survive and others not. Disease, changes in temperature or even long periods of stability produce their own results. It's not about becoming better or smarter. Don't anthropomorphise it because of the word selection. What crawls out the other side of a meteor impact dust cloud wasn't selected by it. It just survived where everything else didn't.
@ItssBrian - This has nothing to do with Creation. His video is about the denial of evolution. And it's based on that fact that his comprehension of the subject is about that of a 3 year old child. Even if God created the earth, evolution is still a fact. it happened and continues to happen.
@benny306 That's evolutionist always try to argue. Just say "you don't understand evolution." Well you don't understand creation, so I guess there's no way you can debate.

@shananagans5 It is compulsory.

It is amusing when you admit, in each and every example, that you are unfamiliar with everything in biology.
