@doomflower agree, they are definitively NOT prostitutes...i am not saying it because i heard it, because i saw the movie or anything. I have true knowledge of the geisha culture, before prostitution was ilegal in japan, "sluts" and geishas had to register as one or another...a whore, OR a geisha...the obvious difference, one had to do with sex, the other one didn't. Geishas used the term "double register" for geishas who slept with their clients...as an insult, double register didn't existed.

Oh my goodness, when we went to Japan, my mother bought a music box with geiko (geisha) on the outside and it plays this song! What a lovely surprise to stumble upon it online!

awesome job i like it alot !!!

oh yeah, and to GhettoCoyote, i am soooo sorry for choosing a song with musical variety. my bad. next time i will choose something that plays "quietly enough" so half your street can remain sleeping. (AKA... turn down the volume, genius.)
hahahahaha

thanks to everyone for the comments.
some points for clarification:
1.) the whole song is "music box" by thrice, BUT thrice incorporates the traditional japanese song "sakura sakura" within their intro and outro.
2.) geisha are NOT whores. while their virginity is technically sold, to ignorantly generalize them as whores is rude and disrespectful to an important piece of japanese history and culture.
3.) while i'm on that, notice i said japanese. not asian. asian cultures vary greatly. Thanks!
