why does the concept of a one world government frighten people? Politics and politicians will always suck, even on other planets with life im sure it sucks too. If all you're worried about is your constitution/national sovereignty, i'd suggest you re-prioritise to things that actually matter. We are all humans, on the same planet, why shouldn't we have a world government? Maybe it is a step to eradicating global poverty and hunger, and religion ruling peoples lives without choice.
