It all had that certain magic back then.. something that techno and parties nowadays lack. Illegal raves at early ninetees! <3 We were part of something new then. Now they play techno everywhere, even at TV commercials! It has become soooooo mainstream. BTW. it was told that "techno is dead" at somewhere around 1993-94 allready. :) And i don't blame those who said that.. . This SOUND still moves something inside of me. Maybe current tunes eventually does same for recent kids? I doubt that though

i roll to acid house and all that old school shit and people just don't understand nowadays. of the many people i've rolled with, only a very small amount of them were even remotely familiar with house music/old school techno, it's depressing. they'd rather listen to their daft punk or some new gay trance shit.

@drtritri you should however consider the amazing growth in electronic music since then, There is a lot of mainstream techno but there are also great producers that will still knock your socks off with their music, techno is amazing and I rave today and love it, was it ever a thought you had back in the day? "What if everyone loved techno and raves?" well... welcome to 2011

the party was in Kranhalle 17 in Berlin-Friedrichshain in December 2007 und the Back to Basics Partys are in Dezember every Year
