Do you ever check if you have all the necessary tools in case of a flat tire?

Let's inspect and go through what you may need when you have a 01 Mazda Miata.
1. Access the trunk where the spare is by pulling the lever from the armrest compartment.
2. Clean out your trunk and remove carpet.
3. Remove the screw that locks the spare in place. You may need a tool if it is too tight to remove by hand.
4. Find the wheel lock if you use one on your wheels.
5. Remove the tire jack and be sure you have the tool that operates the jack.
6. Last but not least, find the lug wrench that remove the lug nuts.

If you are new to driving and car ownership, it is my intention to offer you my best knowledge, experience and presentation in this area that I enjoy.
If you find values in the video, you may show appreciation by:

  • Stanicole: Thanks for this video. One question: At the very end of the clip, when you remove the tire, Is there a NUT attached where the hold down bolt screws into? Or is that hole threaded? Just wondering. On my 1999 miata, the hole is there but nothing else. Perhaps it came off? Just wondering how to get the bolt to stay down!

    thanks.
