A graduate of the Iowa Writers Workshop, Alan Soldofsky has published three books of poetry "Kenora Station," and "Staying Home". A third collection, "Holding Adam/My Father's Books," which includes poems written by his son, Adam Soldofsky.

Alan Soldofsky currently directs the SJSU Creative Writing Program. The poems he's reading are:

"Melville"
"What is Not Allowed"
"Wordsworth in Santa Cruz"
