The future is being invented right here in Pittsburgh! The Pittsburgh Innovates KIZ contest allowed people to show off tech with a Pittsburgh connection. We showcased their best entries and announced the winners right here on our stage. Jury Award: $20,000. Peoples Choice Award: $10,000. Representing judges and to talk about the VC process we had: Jack Lew who has been with Electronic Arts for four years and is currently the manager of Global Art Talent Resources where he develops strategies for identifying and recruiting top art talent globally. Catherine Mott, founding partner of BlueTree Capital Group and BlueTree Allied Angels in Wexford, PA. Dr. Mark Re, Senior Vice President of Research and Technology Development at the Seagate Research Center in Pittsburgh. And moderating, Jay Katarincic, Managing Director of Draper Triangle Ventures and an expert in early stage venture investing.
