Well, lets see how much it really can stand , why not hold one under running water for 5sec then 10 sec then 15sec then 20sec and keep going in five second increments , then tell us when it stops working .
Now that would be very useful consumer information for all other D300 owners .

@pedalman Don't know about the D300, but the d2x can whitstand more than 30 minutes in heavy rain(couldn't test much longer... the rain got me). Tested.
