M/Y Madiz, shown here in TV series "Poirot", episode "Problem at sea", in 1989.

Madiz is a beautiful classic yacht built in Scotland in 1902, designed by the famous yacht designer GL Watson. During WWII she was used to cary the British royal family.

She has recently undergone a major rebuilding and has been re-classified under Lloyds in the original class she had 105 years ago.

  • Fantastic! They used the smaller sister for the port scene, her name now is Ocean Glory, just refitted by Amico&Co. She was in water today in the port of Genova, just off the shipyard.

    Veryveryvery happy to see this.

  • Actually its Madiz also in the port scene (before the refit in 2006). It was filmed in the Greek island of Rhodes and they pretended it was Egypt.
