I remember a relative a had a few just like these, except I don't believe they were by GE. I remember the brand logo being in cursive/manuscript, but I was in elementary school, so I'll be damned if I remember what brand it was. I do remember they were sturdy, quiet, and reliable. Unlike these newer cheap made ones that burn out after a year or two of usage (I know, some newer models are pretty reliable but STILL). Any idea what brand this may be?

Yeah I noticed that a lot of 1970s-1980s desk fans says the size of the fan on the base. My late 1970s Super 12incher says it and same for the late 1980s 16'' Windmere my grand-parents have. I found it intresting too. Its specially mostely found on fans that have a lot of rebranded possible for the same style of fan. Like those so common Super/Lasko/Galaxies for exemple.

Hmmm never seen one of those before, I always thought they pretty much quit making them after the 70's and solely made window AC units and didn't start making them again until late 90's early 2000's, Pretty cool and pretty rare too

Wow! Looks and almost sounds like a Galaxy fan. Very rare!

Tis true, I got the fan without the box from my aunt. But regarless, it was in really good shape. I felt Zach could put it to better use than I, so I decided to let it go. And honestly, I don't regret a thing!!

Very nice! Seems like low runs really quietly. Like Spats, I'm struck with how this looks kinda like a Lasko; but there are differences. I remember seeing these on sale at Newman's in Santa Monica, they also had Lasko-made Dayton oscillators there.

exellent find i hope to someday find one just like it!
Awesome fan. I also haven't seen a GE fan like that from the 80's but I like it. I wish that the last owner would have kept the original box for you. But it is a great find for sure.

Yeah, well this came from Chris D., he posts as hurleyboi on YouTube. He said this was his Aunt's fan and she got rid of the box before he knew about it
I know Sterioflip has the 16" version of this fan
