Backstory: Dr. Purifoy is upset because The Board has passed a decision concerning a particular dentist. Immediately afterwards one board member opts to re-open discussion after realizing that maybe they should review all of the information. Even though the vote has been passed, if the right thing to do is to REDO, then do it. Seems reasonable right? Not to Dr. Purifoy....

  • I see the guy with glasses and that lady to his left trying hard to crucify this guy just because the dentist is willing to accept whatever to not have to be on youtube. This dentist is now marked for life and did nothing wrong other than he/she may not be politically powerful. The board needs to also remember that this dentist has lots of other happy patients, employees and family before they give the dentist a record for a open margin on the temporary crown.

  • There is clear inconsistency in the board ruling. We have multiple offender in the past with 17 counts that got away with just record keeping violation and no standard of care violations.

Now they try to crucify this dentist for open margin on a temporary crown, when the board expert testified that all crowns have open margin!

Apparently, there is double standard in Texas. It is not what you know, but who you know that really matter.
