Roadfly tested the completely updated and redesigned 2011 Volkswagen Jetta SEL. Major competitors for this German sport sedan include the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, and Mazda3. When reviewing a car like the Jetta one of the things we look for in the road test is how well the Jetta compares to others in its class. The relatively inexpensive compact car segment is crowded to say the least.

Host Emme Hall found the trunk to be plenty spacious, lots of leg room for rear seated passengers and fun and confident driving characteristics.

Safety equipment includes six standard airbags; ABS; stability control; and a new crash response system that unlocks the doors, shuts off the fuel pump, and turns on the hazard lights in the event of an impact.

  • '.- GO EMME...!!!

  • @SparkySlow That's funny, because in both America and the UK, the car is marketed as the "Jetta" with a J, and even in Deutschland herself the car is pronounced "Jetta" with a J. Just because it is pronounced "Ieta" in your tiny country does not make the rest of the world who pronounces it differently wrong.

  • @SparkySlow No way,,in Europe we say Jetta. We use the J from Johanesberg not the i from injection !!

  • @Dumblikeyoutu dude...you don't know what ur talkin about. crap vw's (or any respectable car marque) will never sell crap cars in EU cause they won't sell any (unless they cost less than a decent beer). VW's are cheaper in USA than in EU, but if you ask me we are still getting a better deal
