@Manwith3buttocks i'm a jobby and i'm ok
-
i'm not yet born, but i already love the Velvets!

It took me a while to search the distant memory fog but suddenly it hit - I couldn't work out where I'd heard the organ riff before when listening to the Underworld song '8 ball'. Another compulsive song which I've played to death. Still love the Velvets - still love this song.

I'm 41...goddamn it.

i'm just 5 years old and i think the Velvets play fine fine music and i like their rock and roll, their rock and roll, its all right, yeah, its all right.

@soulpatch29 Damn, you got there before me!

I'm a foetus, and I think that the Velvets are the most under rated bands ever, kids today don't know what music is, they think music is a space ship or a type of rare bird or something :(

increíble tema, la parte final es apoteósica!!!!!

@milnoid Neatly done, sir, neatly done. One of the unfortunate aspects of CDs is that this is so much shorter, and eliminates the interesting organ work that sounds so much like a skating rink. One can almost hear it echoing. I think that is what makes it so evocative. I guess the old world may be dead.

I'm 11 and I love the Velvet Underground. Today's music is so formulaic its appalling.

Talk about persistence of memory. Hadn't heard this for at least 35 years, yet could recall every lyric, every lick, every blast of indescribable joy that guitar strumming brings out from the depths of my being. I can smell cheap Mexican pot and incense, diluted with crisp morning spring air coming in through the tall DC row house window. How can such simple music be so incredibly evocative? The 60s and early 70s was just a fantastic time to be alive. Analogue music. Cheap rent. Guilt-free Sex.
