Emergildo Criollo, indigenous leader from Ecuador's Amazon rainforest has a message for oil giant Chevron's CEO John Watson: clean up your toxic contamination. In early March 2010, Emergildo traveled from the Amazon to California, to deliver a letter appealing for clean-up, along with 325,000 petitions from supporters in more than 150 countries. Chevron sent out public relations executives and while they listened to Emergildo's story, they continued to play a cynical game of denying responsibility for massive oil pollution that killed two of Emergildo's sons, and has caused suffering for thousands of others like him in Ecuador. The next day, Emergildo recorded this message to Chevron CEO John Watson.
