A drive through Hardwick, featuring Whickam Road. This was shot in Dec 2004, and I assume that since then Whickham road has also been flattened as part of "Project W".

  • nice one, u need to go back down the same route and video it now, wkd place to live

  • I assume it's all gone then?

  • yep its nearly all gone few still boarded up started new ones on the route you went

  • Pity, ours was the first family to move into our house (no. 27) in Whickham road. That would have been around 1959/60-ish.

  • it was only the even numbers on whickham road that have been demolished and half of wheatley but the W's in the middle have all gone

  • Thanks, I'll take another look next time I'm in the area.

  • @uaps28 gt a life thts the best estate eva man

  • LMFAO hardwick is nout like that you mad CUNT.. i think you should go and do another video in the same route LOL @ you.

  • @uaps28 I agree somewhat, I live in Fairfield and THAT is a nice place, I moved there from Roseworth when i was 11, and i love where i am, its a quiet area with nice looking homes, and pleasent people. Hardwick Isn't an area i could envisage myself living in. I know people who do live there and they are lovely people but its not a pretty place to live, the homes don't look too appealing either but i suppose some people don't have a choice to be fair, not everyone is well of financially.

  • This is not a good place to bring children up.

Firstly, there is no natural beauty in places like this. It looks so artificial and dilapidated. There are also limited opportunities. And, high population density in suburbs like this mean that you are probably going to be surrounded by a lot of undesirable people.

Unfortunately, places like this usually have relatively high birth rates and this only adds to the problems. We need to discourage residents of areas like these from having more kids!

  • People in Teeside don't get paid proper wages for their nine-to-five jobs. They are underpaid. So if they rant on about it, then maybe the stupid government should listen. Hardwick is constantly having houses knocked down, in place of development project houses. How is it worse than anywhere else? I'm pretty sure the sensible people separate themselves from the druggies/alcoholics. It depends what you do with your life more than anything else.

  • @toxikbunny It's 'there', you knob.

  • what is going to happen when they all gone? it was nice to know wthat all the scum where stuck at! but now they are all over the place, shit we need guns!
