This is part three of me chillin' in Oshima with NonStopToTokyo.

This ramen is called "Iso Ramen" 磯ラーメン, which means seaside ramen. It's not the most common food there, and the presentation seems a little purposeful to kinda shock and attract tourists. The shop is located right in front of the main port. That said, I'm sure the island people don't have any problem eating it, and the big shell (called さざえ) is a very common local food.

The background track used is called "Drunken Master" - a free download from Royalty Free Instrumentals:

  • I'd eat the shellfish for sure. Thx for sharing.

  • They're everywhere on the island.

One guy offered to go diving for them and give them to us raw if I go back in spring - that'll be good!

  • I love all the photos on the walls. And that nabe looks so fresh and healthy.

Your face after eating that foetus brain was absolutely priceless! :P

  • Haha - her walls scare me a little though. Almost all the pictures have her in them, so it's just walls and walls of Constantine looking at you. :P

A typical thing for teachers is to bring a bunch of pictures of yourself to show students...and she just put them on the walls when that was finished.

  • looks so good! can you make nabe only vegetarian?

  • Sure~

I just had a vegetarian nabe a couple nights ago with my roommate, just 'cause we were too lazy to go buy meat. It was good. ^^

  • Well at least you could identify everything. From what I saw I was just thinking...alien. :-)

  • I fell about with laughter when I watched your expression. You do not say 'not yummy' by any means, you seem to be a Japanese. LOL!

Oh! 鍋物(Nabes) is good! it looks yummy! My favorite 鍋 is anglerfish-nabe! umm.. but, it contains organs of seafood. You'll not say "not yummy" again, I'll bet.. LOL!

  • rule of eating: if t doesn't look good, it won't taste good.

  • yukkky, awesome vid as always 5/5!!!

  • Haha - I never even considered how sexual her explanation could be. :P

    Japan and their freaky tentacles...

  • Thanks for the nice comments Victor!

Nope - same camera. Guess it just loves NonStopToTokyo. ^^

Her seat in that shop had good lighting.
