Choctaw-Hopi artist and IAIA professor Linda Lomahaftewa and Swedish-Cherokee painter America Meredith will set out on a journey of a lifetime on Saturday, September 10--The two will visit mound burial sites located throughout the Southeastern United States. Over 15 days, these two well-respected artists will photograph and sketch the mounds to bring back to New Mexico so that they can create full works that will be part of an exhibit in Oklahoma and New Mexico in May 2012. This tour will be a learning experience for the two Native American art scholars. They will share their experiences on www.kickstarter.com keyword "woodlands" with others. To make this trip happen they are asking for your help. Log onto their site to make a donation. Even a dollar helps!
