I have to admit that I wasn't a big blues fan untill I started playing it! I really learned a lot from this style especially the techniques that are played to the fullest. That's why I like to share the information which helped me out a lot with my melody playing. It's usable in all kinds of styles of music.
This lesson starts from scratch so it's for everyone who likes it. This video features: One blues scale, special tecniques like Sliding, Hammer ons , Pull offs , Bending and Vibrato. All techneques are explained, with exercises and tablature.

The tablature of the scale and exercises can be found on my website: www.myspace.com/heronymusic

The Link to the backing track : http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=X7hv3AGbwg0

Part 2 of this lesson is coming up, which will feature some information on how to make your fingers independent from your thumb while playing these special tecniques.

Hope you'll enjoy this lesson and that you can do your benefit of it!

Feel free to Rate, respond or subscribe, it's much apreciated!!

  • BRILLIANT JEROEN!!! This is the third video of yours I'm listening to today and I'm blown away. Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us...

  • Thanks for sharing this technic!

  • I know what you mean, there are blues influences everywhere in music. I guess what I was trying to say, I don't really like your 'typical' distinctive blues sound, the songs that are always that 12 bar repetition, I find it monotonous. Although popular music has drawn its roots from blues, you can't really tell. I'm probably making no sense! In a nutshell, I hate songs like 'walking the dog' and I love Damien rice.

  • Hi Jeroen

    WONDERFUL LESSON!!!

    Thanks, Thanks, Thanks!!!!

    Big kiss
