  • You could possibly have a low speed jet that is too rich. Try getting a leaner jet. Also its always good to make sure the carbs are synched and to make sure valve clearances are within spec for routine maintenances.

  • My plugs look fine, engine runs rough at low speed, there is no carbon deposit in the can but people say it smells of unburnt fuel, could this be Valve Clearances, or Carb Syncing?, I think carbs are jetted for a race can which it no longer has, which of these do you think is the minimum I would need to sort out to have it running right, its a ZX9r year 2000, Thanks
