Wow. I can't believe these pickups. They sound crisp, sustain for ages and have some bite. Came highly recommended from the Strat-Talk team (FenderKev thank you) and I'm glad I went with them. Totally transformed the humble but excellent 2010 MIM Fender Stratocaster. All on clean/crunch settings for this test - went through all the backing tracks I could find very qucikly so please excuse the playing.

In order of attempted soloing:

Wind Cries Mary - Jimi Hendrix

Lenny - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 - Pink Floyd

Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton

  • do these need batteries?

  • @themoose213 No. They are passive pickups. Thanks for watching.

  • Nice tone dude.. especially like the Hendrix cover in the beginning.. did you learn that from tabs ? Really nice vintage tones those pups are producing !!

  • @TheBdriver Thanks man. I actually learnt the solo a while ago but I reckon your best bet is to just search for it on youtube. There are great instructional videos free for all. I wish I had youtube when I was a kid! Cheers.

  • Just bought hot golds with the hot bridge and can't wait to drop them in the strat I'm building!!! Those sound sick...

  • @yzguy01250 You will love them. I reckon they are great bang for buck. Thanks for watching.

  • @TheBdriver Thanks for watching. Hopefully you will love them like I do.

  • NICE !!! That sound is making me very excited about getting them installed on my new MIM strat !! Just got the pups today.. calling my store tech tomorrow to book it in :)

  • @jonas4556 Not using an amp or pedals on this one. Straight into computer with USB interface and using Guitar Rig. I also have another video where I have bypassed all amp and effects. I've got say the pickups sound quite bright and full of life to me even without any amp or effect tweaking. The honest truth is that not everyone likes Lace but I love them. Thanks for wtaching.

  • Cant get mine to sound nearly as good as in this video, mine just sound muddy and dont give much tonal response when tweaking :S What amp and pedals are you using?
