@simonsaidwhat: I was going nuts trying to find out what that noise was... I found it!. It was actually on of my wires from my computer going in to the mixer. It was NOT the Tube Pre.

it does not sound tubey it sounds like a increase in voltage but no fat sound

@alexduran5678 yes you plug it in one of your channels through 1/4 cable or xlr if your warming a mic

turn off the gain of your mixer.. it is colouring the sound of the art tube.

If I get the art tube would I be able to connect it with my USB avid mbox3?

Mmm volume is a bit low , I ended up having to crank up my monitors up a bit, at least you're not blasting my eardrums :P

Mmmm not sure how I sit with the bass guitar... I imagine running it through further processing ought to give it new life alongside the pre :)
