A heartbreaking, yet triumphant story of the life and death of Jesus Christ. The movie focuses on Christ's emotional human side as he suffers the life of a man and his final temptation on the cross by Satan to choose a "normal" life. A brilliant and beautiful look at Christ from a non-traditional perspective.
5 minute montage on Scorcese's masterpiece.

Satan did try to take advantage of Jesus's human side and he did attempt to tempt Jesus. Jesus wasn't married lol. I understand that this was a portrayal of Christ in an "untraditional" way but it could have at LEAST been scriptural. As Christians, we believe that the Bible is the inherent word of God and is profitable for rebuking and teaching and is flawless. We live by faith because it is by God's grace through faith that we're saved. If KJ DID re-write the Bible, God would have let us know.

@321brockman Jesus was tempted in the desert. But there is no evidence for him ever being tempted on the cross...or of him even being married for that matter. This movie is a lie.

Are you serious?
Of course King James din't write the Bible , it was written during his reign. Jesus lived a sinless life granted but was tempted by Satan to give up his mission. Thank God he didn't otherwise no of us would be here.

@adamisking666 Probably because there have appeared historical records where it has been said victims were crucified naked. Perhaps they wore loinclothes but perhaps not. Artistic portrayals of Jesus wearing a loincloth are just that...artistic portrayals.

@schaffk there is no proof that king James rewrote the bible, also Jesus was not tempted by satan because he is the son of God and he lived a sinless life.

You were not there. You are taking the words of a liar.
King James re wrote much of the bible. Most of what you
are reading pertains to astronomy. They made up a story
to enslave all of us. Believe in God. Not a book that many
human hands have touched.
