RETRO REVIEWS: Ecco the Dolphin Games

Did you find this review to be boring, full of audio flaws, unprofessional looking and not very informative? ME TOO! Don't worry though, my later reviews are MUCH better than this, so I recommend that you check those vids instead.

Just me reviewing 3 Ecco the Dolphin games: Ecco the Dolphin, Ecco: The Tides of Time and Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future. Enjoy!

Looking Back:
My first review. MY ABSOLUTE WORST. God there were so many problems from day one: Muffled audio, dialogue being cut-off for no reason, "borrowed" video footage which has no sound (I'm not joking when I say this: back in the day I had absolutely no idea how to change the volume of videos in Movie Maker. Go ahead and laugh. I deserve it.), not much going into depth of things, the worst possible voice to narrate with and of course the biggest insult of all: an utter shit WMM intro and credits which includes music that doesn't come from the games whatsoever.
I ask the zonic94 of two years ago this:
DID YOU WATCH THIS REVIEW BEFORE YOU UPLOADED IT?!?!

I was basically reviewing what I call the "main series" of Ecco games. Ecco Jr is more of a Spin-off Prequel to me since the gameplay and tone is a lot different as it's targeted towards younger gamers.

Just so you know, Stuttering Craig hates Ecco the Dolphin. This has been some running gag with his website ScrewAttack, who love to beat up a short-lived video-game series that I'd actually take over Sonic any day of the week. After several criticisms for his thoughts on the first Ecco game, Craig's response was a highly sarcastic view on the sequel Tides of Time. To summarise it: "Oh man, I'm so sorry for bashing Ecco. This game is actually good for all of this awesome stuff. No, Ecco sucks."

Warning! Do NOT play this game on the Sega Smash Pack for GBA. I am so disappointed with the port. The graphics are the same, but the incredible soundtrack is gone...completely. There is only one 30 second audio-clip in the GBA version, which just repeats itself over and over throughout the game. Buy it on the Wii Virtual Console instead of the GBA, because the sound is a major part of the experience.
