  • What we need is LESS government interference. Government regulation only serves to LIMIT people from making their own decisions. If you had ANY IDEA what led to this crisis (and was PREDICTED would lead to this crisis), you would know that government regulations DO NOT HELP. It was government regulations that GOT US HERE!

Government is just a monopoly on VIOLENCE. You basically saying that we should use more VIOLENCE to make the economy better. The same MO as slave owners.

  • This is a big-boy room, Indy. If you can't say something intelligent, get out and go into some room filled with uneducated, racist 10 year olds where you will fit in.

  • The dollar is backed by the fool faith and trust in the united states government.

If the FED ownes the gold then fort Knox is empty. It has not been audited in decades - over due.

  • not doubting, but what is the dollar backed by? do you believe(or know) if the fed owns the majority, if not all, of the americas gold?

  • Anyone else notice that the Davos summit is free of those wacky Austrians who claim to know something about economics but only have the least educated fooled on that point?

  • jisajan: one other note - gold does not back our so called money - it has not since 1972, that is why our (American) currency has less and less meaning every day.

  • jisajan: Currency has value when it is a consistent measure to value unlike things such as homes, cars, scientist or ditch diggers labor.

Currency means nothing when it can be fabricated at will, counterfitters are rewarded by cheating the rest - and that especially included government inflation (stimulas) as a massive way to cheat and devalue non cheaters value.

  • justice is always connected to vigilance, but I would say it's been eroding for a few decades and suffered two big blows when Bush suspended habeas corpus and Congress gave Telecoms immunity. Then there's ate all the lies about Iraq.

Obama can fix them all and pursue justice if we want him to.

  • gold is what backs the so called money but thats just security for the people that invest their goods and their labor into the currency. but currency itself means nothing and where has all the gold gone? theres only enough gold in the world to fill up an olympic sized pool. is that truly all there is to sustain our precious dollar?

  • your right, and to add, chaos naturally creates justice out of the chaos. but its the continuation of justice that has seemed to have been man's downfall in history, or is it that we've truly never had justice?? what point was it that we lost it?

  • you want regulations you'll also need justice - this includes the million dollar CEOs who failed surrendering their assets - and jail time.

    Without justice you'll have chaos.
