  • All i hear is exuses to believe in a jewish god when its obvious this concept didn't fall from the sky it was created over time. No human on earth is qualified to say where or how everything is created and thats where it stands for now saying there is a god is ignorant we don't know for certian so why are we spreading a world view on such lack of knowledge is beyond me.

  • @Threshingfloor814 Also, the Bible would seem to contradict Geisler's position. In Isaiah 45:7, "God says: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." So, God both admits to creating evil and calls it a "thing."

I know that some newer versions of the Bible use "calamity" or "disaster"...but it's all under the category of "bad stuff."

  • Huge problem with this argument. Morality comes from a rational consideration of the consequences of actions, not an assertion of authority. What if that moral "prescriber" starts saying things like "smiling on a Tuesday is immoral." Does that then make it immoral? What if he says that drunk driving for white males is ok? Basing morality on holy books takes away our ability to create a civil society.

  • @POC777

I wouldn't remember this. A skilled atheist would shoot down this straw man portrayal of his or her position in about 30 seconds.

  • @Leivinn20 I see what you are trying to say but that has nothing to do or it does not relate to "the evil concept exists due to God exists." Evil and Righteousness are not concepts but a direct reality of not just around us in the world but inside of our hearts. I wanted to know what you meant by that statement but you didn't really answer it. You just went a different direction.

  • @jazzbummer "Evil" and Goodness are two mutually related concept, such as Light and Darkness. Evil is absence of God. God is beginning of everything, If god was cruel by nature, existence should be a hell only.

  • @Leivinn20 What do you mean "the evil concept exists due to God exists?"

  • How can we remember all this during a conversation with an atheist?

  • @moomin468:

    1) God is omnipresent

    2) Hell, Earth and Heaven are different planes of existence.

    3) Therefore, God can be omnipresent at Heaven and Earth and not at Hell.

  • @Licmycat A.it was not an apple...IT was fruit.<thats all we know about it!

B.IT wasn't the fact that they ate IT was the fact that they DISOBEYED...THAT is what brought evil to this world!

C.because of that....we are where we are. LOST Maybe that is why God called out in the cool of the evening "Adam, where are you"?
