This was not a political broadcast to increase Labour majority.

As Labour was not in government at this time, this broadcast was to acquire one. It shows what people would get if they did not vote Labour in 1997. There were other political broadcasts around this time which did set out what Labour wanted to do. Some are also on my channel.

I really don't think u can blame Labour for a GLOBAL financial crisis,which developed due to conservative policies in USA(George W. Bush).At the end of the day,the TRUE test of a government,is how it looks after low income and working families,during a downturn. I don't think many working families in the UK will be very happy,when the Tories embark on their standard slash & burn policies,taking a BIG AXE to services including NHS & aged care, while sacking nurses, teachers & police.

Anyone could have governed successfully from 1997 to 2007. You can call the Tories cruel until you're blue in the face but they left the country a far, far more wealthy place than it was in 1979.
