You sound like me. I had a Catalina 25 yrs ago. LOL (what they call the classic now) My father and I sailed that for yrs. While the economy didn't effect me I have had my eye on the 32 for a while and I got sick 2 yrs ago. I am healing now but had I stayed healthy I would probably be in the early shopping stage now for either the 309 or 32. I only have a lake to sail in so the 309 is probably enough but boy is the 32 nice.

My dream boat is the catilina 32. I had a 25 Oday 1975. i sailed it for 14 years and she was great. The Catilina 32 is one step up and i like the space and speed of the 32. i should have had one years ago, I want to punch the economy in the face!

I've heard that hunter is the bayliner of sail boats!! Is this true alot of flash but poorly built! Tell me it aint true!! I think there good boats and been lookin for one when I retire in 3 years and head out to sea. Are they good blue water boats???

may i ask how much you payed for it?
Interesting you ask about Hunter on a Catalina review... Hunter sailboats are not poorly built. Conversely, they are not built as well as a semi-custom boat that costs 4x as much. If you are looking for a boat to coastal cruise, and you want a good value, new Hunters or Catalinas are excellent choices. If you want to sail in the Southern Ocean, probably not... My advice is to talk to as many owners of boats as you can.
