The controversial song by Bok van Blerk about the Anglo-Boer War that caused an outcry of indignation in South Africa.
As the British tried to do a hundred years ago, the black majority government is now trying to suppress the Afrikaner nation's culture - and in fact all traces of their history.
Public funding is being withdrawn from Afrikaner monuments, even though Afrikaners contribute more than their share to tax income. Millions are being spent on changing the names of towns, streets etc. while little is done to maintain infrastructure.
The new generation of Afrikaners had nothing to do with Apartheid, yet they are faced with a bleak future, suffering under racial discrimination in the form of affirmative action.
Although this excludes them from jobs and promotion beyond a certain level, it also stimulates entrepreneurship and innovative thinking.
The Afrikaner nation will rise again to take its place in the country their forefathers helped to build and develop.

We can only hope that the Nation Rises up again - though this seems an impossible dream! Seems the Marrow of the Nation has been sapped! It's easier to just Go with the Flow! I wish really wish some-one could do something. Then I can Come Home!

We all know that the British had the first Concentration Camps - they taught Hitler well! SA needs a De La Rey, or some-one like him right now! What's going on back home smacks of Genocide!

Those tar apes are going to eradicate all historical and cultural artifacts of the Afrikaners... The blackies will not triumph, the native inhabitants will understand the limitations of the ineffective policy known as intergration. Respect to our opressed white comrades! from the USA.

@westchesterny They will probably have to group together in one area of South Africa like the folks in Orania are doing but on a bigger scale. And then they'll have to insist on the right of self-determination. Nationalist groups (based on real cultural and ethnic ties) in the US, Canada and elsewhere should follow the same model.

@RedShirtArmy but where would they go? There are not even any "white countries"... right, much less boer countries, lol? Where... where the generational americans in places s/a So Cal go? It's not like they have an Asia to go to, which is all Asian, (like China is not only 100% Chinese, but 90% Han, even). or Africa, which is all African, (unless the Chinese take it over). Of course people need a place to live for their culture to survive, as well as their genetic group.

The Afrikaners need an independent homeland to survive. I'm a foreigner but I full support the Afrikaners.

@salzwell25 Your country is a home now for so many Afrikaners, there is no hate. I do not agree with what you did to my great grandmother and grandfather, but we as a nation have bigger problems presently, and history is never a fairytale. . . Greetings from SA! :)
