After more than 17 years, Usui have been missing for days and now his family have found a male body with some clothes on that is similar like his. There is currently no comfirmed report that he is dead or the body maybe his. But I maybe certain that it is his body and he maybe dead.

As of this case scenario, Shin Chan may have come to an end. So enjoy my Shin Chan fanart and remember Shin's creator. More Shin Chan fan art will be posted on my DeviantArt page: http://jtaylor83.deviantart.com/

Update: The Saitama Police have identified and confirmed the body that it is Usui. Futabasha, the company that runs Manga Today will continue the manga until the December. TV Asahi has yet to determine the fate of the Shin Chan anime and whether to air the new episode on October 16 after their break from broadcasting the show.

Update 2: It's official. The Shin Chan anime will continue its' broadcast on Asahi.

R.I.P. Yoshito Usui

(1958-2009)

All the Credits go to Shin-EI and FUNimation. No Infringement Intended.

Note: I had to delete, rename, and re-upload the file because of the misspelling.

  • 1958 - 2009 ? Isn't it same as MJ? RIP ! <3

  • @iMISSYOUMJx3 Yep. Usui died the same year as MJ and Farrah too.

  • I've heard of issues raised where Crayon Shin-chan was banned in some countries as it was deemed inappropriate. But the people who are able to accept the series probably love it as much as I do. Shin-chan grew up with me, and has brought so much laughter to our household that it's sad to know the series will never have a "proper" ending. And it's a greater blow to know that an amazing talent had just left us.

R.I.P and thanks for the years of joy Shin-chan brought us.

  • It was banned in India on Hungama for a few months until July because the insults said by Shin in Hindi.

Principal Ench known as Gang Leader Sir and Boo is known as Suzuki.

  • Poor Yoshito Usui.... Is not dead, is not dead.... Please :(

  • I'm afraid he is. The Saitama police have identified and confirmed the body. Sorry.

He was the Charles Schultz I once knew. Although, the non Shin Chan fans were cheering that he's finally gone because the manga and anime were inappropriate for children.

  • I grew up with Shinchan.

In my spare time or when I'm sad, even when I'm busy, I read Shinchan many times.

Shinchan, his family and friends are all part of my life.

    Usui's death is unacceptable.

If only it were a nightmare.

  • i really love ShinChan..

Thanks for all his great work
