Actually, it was supposed to start like Pertwee's 2nd opening, but instead of the vortex they use in that opening, they fade to the vortex in Tom's opening, which transitions to Tom's image and the title at the same points it does in Tom's finalized first opening.

Actually it's from 1975 and the bit with the tardis coming towards the camera & in the tunnel that's the unused bit, the rest is as is seen on the Baker titles. The had to put together a rushed seqs due to Pertwee's departure and decided at the last minute not to use the tardis tunnel bit.
