Trick Terminology:
This transition starts with a back roll rotation, the nose of the board is grabbed as we enter the second rotation along the board and body to get inverted.

This video features Bas Koole filmed in Langebaan, near Cape Town, South Africa.

This video is part of our trick terminology series, aiming to inspire you to get out there and try something new on the water. • @0404pluto Super!

  • @BasKooleCom So you are able to have enough power in the kite without looping it? I'm just learning backroll transitions and I find that I normally have no where near enough power to ride out of the roll unless I loop the kite...

  • ik heb em geland dit weekend:D

  • this is hands down, best hooked transition move i've seen - looks smooth!

  • Great to hear that you guys like the trick!

    A few small tips:

    - Come in with decent speed

    - Edge hard and straight into the wind, speed will transform into height

    - Pop off with your kite at 1 o'clock

    - Kite 12 o'clock after the 1st rotation

    - Grab the nose of the board, this will help you to get inverted

    - As soon as you are going into your 2nd rotation you start sending your kite to 10

    - The kite will give you a little swing at the end of the second rotation to come around easy

  • bollocks !

I'm going to try that this week :D

  • @okayplayer31 Me too. And the wet sand is so hard to fall on :p
