Ron Paul is like Churchill in his economic policy... STUPID!!! Churchill loved the gold standard and it didn't work then/won't work now. The reason Churchill is so cool is because of his interventionist foreign policy i.e. leading Britain in WW2, and his nobel prize for literature

A third party could emerge... imagine the Libertarian Party emerging with its nominee, Gary Johnson, sitting at the debate table with Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. All Gary Johnson needs to do is poll at 15% nationally... in a PPP poll, he polled 9% nationally in a Romney v. Obama v. Johnson match. It's possible. If Ron Paul does not win the GOP nomination, we still have a shot.
