Per Petterson's speech upon winning the 12th Annual International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award for his book 'Out Stealing Horses. The book was translated into English by Anne Born and was published by Harvill Secker. The ceremony was held at Dublin City Hall on 14 June 2007.

The award is the world's largest literary prize for a single work of fiction published in English. It involves libraries from all corners of the globe, and is open to books written in any language. The Award is administered by Dublin City Public Libraries.
