What a shimmering display of internal balance! I am speechless at such an embodiment of the fluid and dynamic flow of the Tao. This form is graceful and powerful. The elegant spirit of mastery is hidden within the folds of this lovely jian form. Very sweet... and very inspiring.
it doesnt make sense to use a "sword" real or practise and not use a artual sheath that comes along with it. why pretend to use a imaginary sheath it doesnt make sense. I practise bak shaolin pai with a few wudang sword sets like tai yu jian. some sets practise with a sheath some dont. like you said for balance and extending chi thats correct, but an imaginary sheath?? why not just use one?
imaginary sheath? oh come on now....lol everyone in kung fu knows why they point the two fingers, its to focus the "Qi" in the direction of the sword thrust...Why would they practise with a real sword and an imaginary sword sheath???thats rediculous...
nicely done in quietism, bit weak in jing. as a form it is just ayangshi style variation, not really wudang i guess. i learned this form 20 years ago as yang style anyway. the authentic wudang sword styles i learned in wudang are all very different.
thanks man. my sifu talked about how the scabbard could be used as a second weapon but mainly for defense but he never really talked about the fingers.
so nice ,thx a lot for this upload,i love it.

Whats ridiculos is arguing over why the hand is in sword hand in the first place. Who cares? Call it for symetry sake and move on.
