Channel 8 News Coverage of Woman Handcuffed 56 minutes for filming

Decent coverage. Main point missing is this: Why is it okay for an officer wearing a badge and gun to seize a law-abiding person? And yet if a civilian had done the same that person would be in prison for years?

haha, I LOVE when police cry about being "baited", yet that is a tactic they use every single day. Police are the biggest hypocrites in existence. They live their life by the motto of "do as I say, not as I do". Citizens do not respect the police anymore, as we all now realize that they are just agents sent out to shake us down and keep us from ever questioning "authority".

@KSH243 Have not yet filed - but WILL. I have a lot of juicy info about why they detained me. Evidently, what they were doing to the suspect was NOT LEGAL. So it's no wonder they didn't want video evidence. I talk about many of these issues on my radio show.

I'd sue for being wrongfully accused/detained. The lawyer could have all the money from the suit I'd just want my rights to be protected.

Notice how the officers has there hands on there weapons. Did they think a camera was a weapon?

Attention, police officers. Stop arresting people for crimes that do not exist! Just what threat is being videotaped to you? Are you ******* sensitive to the press or something? If someone is keeping you from doing your job, you can charge them with obstructing governmental administration. But if someone's only there to record your ass, do not feel like you're being targeted! You got it?

If you're one of them, I deserve one good reason why I can't take any videos of your police activity!

Ah yes, the ever popular police excuse for abuse, "Officer safety". As far as I could see, the only ones with the propensity for violence were the cops.

As far as the cop apologist for police bad behavior, merely exercising one's rights is not "baiting" police. Perhaps police ought to quit taking the "bait" and abusing people, then they wouldn't look so bad in the videos.

It's always good to get press. Surely people took away from that "I can open carry?" & or "Why do cops have an issue being filmed?"
